Beginning in 2003 CONTACT Lancaster has been independent of any overarching agency. CONTACT Lancaster Helpline is responsible for it's own funding. As you can imagine the cost of maintaining a 24 hour Help Line manned by in excess of 100 volunteers is quite sizeable.
